Our client is a leading family ran food manufacturing business producing high end confectionary products , for a number of years they have been a strategic partners with a national retailers such as M&S and pride themselves on long lasting collaborative relationships. They are a forward-thinking business that are now in need of an Account Manager to help develop this growing business.

Overall objective of the role

The dedicated Account Manager will help to develop the Biscuits and Bakery business, along with supporting on other products & seasonal lines. You will liaise with manufacturing partners, customers, and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects. This is an office-based role with one day a week working from home, and with some UK and European travel.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Lead, plan and proactively manage allocated clients to meet business objectives
  • Build and maintain a strong, long-lasting strategic partnership internally and externally
  • Manage several customer portfolios across the Biscuits & Bakery product range
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects according to customer and manufacturing partners needs
  • Present sales reports and clearly communicate the progress of initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and grow opportunities, collaborating with internal teams and manufacturing partners
  • Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Negotiate pricing and other expenditure within strategic, budget and forecast parameters

Skills/Abilities/Behaviours

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Background in buying or procurement
  • Highly analytical and numerate
  • Own Label Account Management Experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
