A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Legal Administrator to join a leading legal and professional service business based in Chester.

Role

This role will support a team that provide private individuals, business owners and charities with advice on a broad range of tax, trusts and estate matters including wills, guardianship arrangements, lifetime estate planning, succession planning, trusts, Powers of Attorney, estate administration and disputes. They also support vulnerable clients in managing their affairs, dealing with the Court of Protection and promoting their clients' interests. This is a great opportunity for the right person looking to take their career to the next level.

Full and Part hours will be considered for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Payments of invoices
  • Updating excel spreadsheets to keep track of expenditure
  • Scanning
  • E-filing of documents
  • Calls to third parties and clients to discuss financial matters
  • Potential drafting of simple documents
  • Good diary management skills required so deadlines are not missed
  • Drafting simple letters/ emails
  • Liaising with internal teams
  • Sending out post and collating enclosures for letters

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Sound experience of working in a busy environment
  • Interest in Private Client and Court of Protection work
  • Ability to manage a high volume of work and prioritise accordingly
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrates initiative and has a pro-active attitude
  • Willingness to take on responsibility
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including letter writing)
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and commitment to the delivery of excellent client service
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel (especially the formatting of word documents and preparation of spreadsheets)
