A great opportunity has arisen for a Systems & Data Infrastructure Analyst to join a rapidly growing business within the fibre industry. The Analyst is expected to take ownership of all aspects of the network infrastructure and working to strict deadlines while being flexible to meet the changing business requirements when needed. The role involves system administration, data management and the set up of systems for the new deployment areas

Responsibilities

  • Manage the user access and roles in various systems such as the APX GIS in order to ensure all users have the right level of access to the information they require without sharing information not intended for them.
  • Assist with the setup of new project areas in APX and other systems in order to expand the business.
  • Extract and process external data from suppliers such as Ordinance Survey & BT for use within our systems and to provide contractors with data timely updates in order to ensure our systems are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Monitor and analyse system alarms and assist with root cause analysis to identify and address issues, and to maintain and enhance system security in order to help avoid or reduce downtime so that the business systems don't impact the business processes.
  • Engage and manage relationships with 3rd party suppliers & vendors to help secure and maintain a reliable supply chain.
  • Contribute to the development of automation solutions to improve and enhance business efficiency.
  • Review supplier designs to ensure they conform to the agreed formats in order to reduce internal processing time and facilitate automation and imports.

Essential Experience

  • Experience of working with AWS computing programme.
  • System user management.
  • SQL data manipulation.
  • Supplier & vendor engagement/management.

Desirable Experience

  • GIS degree
  • AWS qualifications
  • Experience of working with GIS computing programme
  • Experience working with GPON/XGS-PON and passive network technologies.
  • Discovery recovery management.
  • Network inventory management.
