Job description
NMS Recruit are actively seeking experienced Deputy Responsible Person/ QA Assistant with experience in the pharmaceutical industry. This is an exciting opportunity to put your own stamp on a new role for the business which offers long term progression.
Role purpose is to work with and report to the Responsible Person and the Quality Department to ensure Good Distribution Practice (GDP) Compliance of Pharmaceutical Products, maintaining the Quality Management System. Assist the RP in ensuring a product or service meets the established standards of quality including reliability, usability, and performance.
Role/Responsibilities
- Participation in maintaining activities in relation to GDP.
- Assisting in ensuring product procurement, storage and distributions are managed in accordance with GDP requirements.
- Support the RP to assess cold chain and ambient product shipments and provide corresponding quality decision on product quality and patient safety.
- Review documentation including Quality Manual, Management reviews and technical agreements, change controls, deviations, CAPAs, validation documentation, SOPs and specifications relating to distribution activities.
- Coordinate mapping and monitoring of temperature for Pharmaceutical Storage areas.
- Manage the calibration of data loggers and thermometers.
- Support the RP to maintain and update Quality/Technical Agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Provide Quality support and oversight for Distribution Operation review meetings with Distribution contractors.
- Advise and support warehouse personnel.
- Support the preparation of inspections from regulatory bodies such as the MHRA and provide support for regulatory submissions.
- Coordinate and support on site audits conducted by external providers.
- Evaluate audit findings and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Support the RP to ensure the conditions of all Wholesale Distribution Authorisation are maintained.
- Reviewing and advising upon the company's standard operating procedures in relation to the operation of the licence.
- Responsible to highlight any issues related to the operations which compromise the quality of medicines.
- Ensure that customer complaints are processed efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate and perform any recall operations.
- Highlight relevant staff of any thefts of Medicines and Falsified Medicines
- Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventative actions.
- Investigate non-conformance issues and coordinate Deviations.
- Performing the qualification of the Pharmaceutical Customers & Suppliers and ensuring Khaos system is updated accordingly.
- Keeping accurate and up-to-date record as such the documents are legible, traceable, and retainable.
- Support the RP to perform Self-inspections and prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities.
- Identify training needs and organise training interventions to meet quality standards, including the evaluation of the Training and Competency
- Perform checks for Suspended/ Revoked and Terminated Licences.
Qualifications/Experience
- 2+ years experience in a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Quality inspection, GDP Experience is a plus.
- Experience with implementation of corrective action programs.
- Product or industry-specific experience.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, QA applications and databases.
- Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of QA.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements regarding awarding organisation recognition and Quality Assurance.
