New Business Development Manager

Position: Permanent, full time

Hours: Monday to Friday 9-5.30

Location: Hybrid model - 3 days working from office (Castleford) and 2 days working from home

Starting Salary: £20,000-£21,000

Benefits: Starting 22 days annual leave (3 reserved for Christmas shut down),workplace pension + medical cash plan

My client are an IT solutions provider, supplying to B2B, value added Resellers, managed service providers and system integrators. They work with leading IT vendors, specialising in server and core IT infrastructure. They actively stock over 1,400 SKUs in their warehouse in Castleford but source over 10,000 products a year for their broad customer base.

Working directly with the Divisional Director, they require an experienced Business Development Manager to support new business and account development, deal with new enquiries to generate new business and pipeline/portfolio development. The role includes general administration in line with customer sales transactions however the role is primarily sales focused.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deal with New Business enquiries
  • Develop and grow customer accounts
  • Ensure customers receive excellent customer service
  • Handle inbound enquiries from existing customers
  • Warm call as appropriate to ensure lapsed customers are re-activated
  • Negotiate pricing and raise sales orders
  • Convert new customers to spend and existing customers to spend more
  • Contact prospective customers to promote products
  • Revive dormant customer accounts

KEY SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess strong business acumen with problem solving attitude
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Composed and confident telephone manner
  • Focus on delivering excellent customer experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, complex environment
  • Team orientated
  • Computer literate - MS Office (intermediate Excel) / knowledge of CRM platform formats

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • IT Reseller or technical IT sales experience is preferred but not mandatory - training will be provided
  • Strong work ethic
  • Strong relationship building, communication and negotiation skills
