A great opportunity has arisen for a Head of Financial Crime to join this leading financial services business on a 12 month maternity contract.

You will be the business contact for financial crime and your main responsibility will be to lead the business and the team in maintaining and or strengthening it's financial crime and AML activities.

Duties will include:

  • Supporting the business to maintain compliance with the relevant Financial Crime rules, regulations and industry guidance.
  • Ensure the business is kept up to date with changes or new legislation
  • Reviewing and analysing fraud and money laundering attempts into the business
  • Maintaining an ongoing monitoring program
  • Ensure all policies are written, approved and embedded into the business
  • Working with the Director or Compliance & MLRO in planning and implementation the financial crime strategy

This role offers a salary of £75,000 - £85,000 plus benefits and is offered on a 12 month maternity contract

To be suitable for this role you will have:

  • Strong experience of working within a Financial Crime/AML/Anti-Fraud department within Financial Services
  • A clear understanding of key regulatory, legislative and industy requirements specifically FCA/JMLSG
  • Strong and relevant AML knowledge and able to demonstrate this ideally with a formal qualification.
