Our client was established several years ago and is today is recognised as a prominent UK supplier/ wholesaler of medical consumables. Distributing over 20,000 branded consumables and equipment products, our client is also a leading manufacturer of over 1300+ of their own brand label supply lines including everyday medical consumables
Requirements
Looking to build on, amplify and grow sales across both companies and the various customer sectors and segments the client offers, they offer a fantastic opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic, numerate mid-level Sales Manager with excellent people skills who is looking to take the next big step. Responsible for developing a robust Sales Business Plan, implementing and growing the company's sales opportunities and engagement, this role will drive sales, increase market penetration across all our customer segments, evaluate performance and create insights and ideas to reach a broader UK audience
Role Overview, Responsibilities and Deliverables
Reporting to the COO and Business Development / Senior Management, and working alongside the Operations, Customer Service and Marketing Departments. Direct Reports will include 9+ team members including Telesales, Care Home Sales / Account Management (internal and field based), Wholesale Business Development and Sales Team / Customer Service
Specific Job Skills
Understands the principles of the Primary and Secondary Care (GPs, NHS / Health and Social Care / Care Home) sales processes, ROI, including market sector targeting, product offer development, solutions /outcomes selling, cost per response, cost per conversion. Be able to measure, report and action corrective actions etc. Appreciates need for consistency within company's sales and marketing strategy, especially telephone, social medial and internet sales streams. Able to communicate and motivate via written and verbal media.
Management Ability
Experience of managing both internal and external sales teams is an essential part of the role, responsibility and opportunity for personal and career development could grow with the development of the business. Must be able to produce sales / budget and accurate forecasting reports. Must be able to perform appraisals, set monitor and measure agreed KPIs.
Experience
- At least 5 years in a related position preferably in a healthcare organisation
- Proven work experience as an inhouse sales manager with demonstrable delivery of sales targets (examples will be required)
- Hands on experience, extremely proficient with CRM software and MS Excel (Microsoft Suite)
- Demonstrable managerial abilities cross-managing a team of 6+ (internal and external teams)
- In-depth understanding of the sales administration process
Please note the successful candidate will need to have the ability to spend nights away per month, Able to commute reliably to office base and external colleagues. Able to work extended hours on occasions when required. Must have clean or near clean driving licence (3 points maximum).
