Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Network Operations Manager to join an exciting business within the fibre industry. The Network Operations Manager will plan, organise and manage staff to ensure stability of the network, while working to strict deadlines and being flexible to meet the changing business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • To implement and enforce configuration management and change management processes and practices.
  • Ensuring that all elements of the network are monitored.

  • Ensuring the network monitoring and alarm system is robust.

  • Prioritising faults to meet the required SLA's

  • Driving consistency, quality, suitability and cost-effectiveness within the network operation team.

  • Providing regular updates to the Customer Service team of progress of fault resolution.

  • Maintaining a close working relationship with the build teams and ensuring any problems are analyzed and learning's fed into future designs.

  • Ensuring as-builts are received, checked and stored in order to maintain effective operation use.

  • Creating and delivering a plan to improve departments KPI's

Essential Experience

  • Degree qualified within networks
  • Previous experience in working with an ISP across the service life cycle - design build and operation.

  • Experience in leading a technical team

  • Experience of a fault ticketing system

  • Knowledge of Firewall and content Filter Management

Desirable Experience

  • Professional level network vender qualification such as CCNP or JNCIP

  • Experience working with GPON/XGS-PON and passive network technologies
