People and Development Advisor
Salary: £37,500-40,000 + Annual Bonus
Location: London City Centre
Hours: 9-5.30 Monday - Friday
The role of the People and Development Advisor is to deliver sound HR support to employees and managers across the business. The People and Development Advisor will own key aspects of the employee lifecycle, support the People and Development Assistant to deliver top quality administrative support and provide cover for the Talent Acquisition Manager and People and Development Manager at times of high volume.
The duties of this role include, but is not limited to:
- Manage Maternity, Paternity and Shared Parental leave processes
- Support managers to handle sickness absence and phased returns
- Work with the People and Development Manager on other Employee Relations issues
- Support the Talent Acquisition Manager with CV screening and telephone interviews
- Coordinate and administer paperwork and contracts
- Manage the onboarding of new joiners from offer out to probation sign off, working with managers to ensure that new starters are provided with a first-class experience
- Responsible for coordinating quarterly induction events, gathering feedback and working with People & Development Manager and presenters to make improvements to the next event
- Review Exit Questionnaire feedback and complete follow up Exit Interviews, compiling regular reports on key themes to present to senior leadership
- Compile monthly reporting
- Supports the People and Development Assistant to deliver payroll
- Supports the Responsible Person to ensure Health and Safety compliance, providing day to day support to local Health & Safety representatives.
- Works alongside the People & Development Manager on regular project work
- Confidently builds strong working relationships with employees and managers.
- Comfortable working with internal stakeholders at all levels.
Skills and Experience:
- Experience within a similar role is essential
- Experience managing an end-to-end payroll process is also essential
- Strong understanding of employment law is essential for this role
- Must have Employee Relations exposure including absence, disciplinary & grievance
- Experience using an HR system is essential
- Confident in stakeholder management
- Clear and considered communicator
- Able to respond flexibly to shifting priorities
- Excellent time management
