This is a hands-on role supporting the Parts Department with the day-to-day operations of goods receiving, stock control, and showroom support. You'll play a key part in ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes - from managing deliveries to helping customers on the shop floor.
You'll also support with retail sales in the showroom, which includes a mix of parts, tools, hardware, clothing, and groundcare machinery. Whether you're helping a technician identify a part or greeting a customer at the counter, you'll be delivering top-notch service with a friendly, professional approach.
What You'll Be Doing:
·Overseeing daily goods-in operations, ensuring accurate receipt and distribution of parts and deliveries
·Supporting with stock management - transferring, checking, and maintaining inventory levels
·Assisting customers in the showroom with product enquiries and purchases
·Providing support to workshop technicians with parts identification
·Handling cash, card, and cheque transactions with accuracy
·Maintaining a clean, organised and professional workspace
·Loading and unloading internal deliveries and managing customer collection shelves
·Contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment while also working independently when required
What We're Looking For:
·A genuine interest or basic knowledge of machinery, tools, or engineering (advantageous but not essential)
·Strong communication skills - in person, over the phone, and via email
·Previous experience in a retail or parts environment (desirable)
·Confident with computers, email, and basic administrative tasks
·High attention to detail, particularly with stock and payments
·A positive attitude with the ability to stay calm under pressure
·Reliable, well-presented, and customer-focused
·Physically fit and comfortable handling deliveries and stock
·A full UK driving licence
